Six Make Up Items I Use Every Day

Ok, so truth be told, I don’t necessarily use these items every day, especially not in the summer. But generally speaking, when I have intentions of going out in public and not looking like I just rolled out of bed, these are the only items I use. It takes about 2 minutes and makes a HUGE difference on whether I look put-together or not!

One. Younique Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation. This product is absolutely amazing. It evens skin tone and applies so lightly. Because my skin is darker right now than it typically is, I also use it as an under eye concealer and it’s been perfect for hiding dark circles this summer! During the year I use it as a base for the rest of my make-up. I use the shade “taffeta.”

Two. Younique Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer. Hello, my under-eye life saver. I used to use It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye, and this product is less expensive and just as good! It is perfect for covering up imperfections and brightening dark circles. Again, a little goes a long way. Even when I don’t use foundation, I still almost always apply this! I have the shade “organza.”

Three. Eyeliner. Being an Ipsy subscriber, I’ve tried quite a few over the last year. My favorite remains Maybelline Lasting Drama, but I also like the Younique Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eyeliner, in addition to Ciate London Gel-Kohl Wonderwand Eye Pencil. I’m not a fan of liquid liner as I have the dreaded curse of watery eyes. Even if I don’t wear eye shadow, or anything else really, I pretty much never leave the house without eye liner. I often just apply it to the corners of my eyes to define them a touch.

Bonus extra product that makes a big difference: Elf undereye setting powder. My friend introduced me to this a while back and I’ve used it just about every day since. After applying eye liner, dot this with your finger under the eye liner line. It will give your liner all day staying power without that gross smudged bleed.

Four. Mascara. I didn’t realize how big a difference this makes until I started using the good stuff. I wrote an entire post highlighting Younique Mascara because I’m just such a fan. I tend to base my fiber lashes on Doucce Maxlash Volumizing Mascara, and if I’m in a hurry, I’ll use just that.

Five. Blush. Particularly Manna Kadar blush. I’ve used so many other types of blushes, highlighters, and bronzers, and none I love as much as this one. I don’t know if it’s the color, the easy of application or what, but it works year round for me. I’ll apply bronzer trying to give my skin the sun-kissed look only to top it off with this blush. Really, really love it.

Six. In the past two years, I’ve learned what a difference defined brows make. I’ve tried lots of products I’ve loved, and Benefit Gimme Brow is one of the best! I don’t really have one product I swear by for brows, so I’d love to hear if you do!

I definitely don’t wear a ton of make-up, and I’m not the best at experimenting with it. These are just the products I use as everyday war paint;). I’d love to hear your go-tos!
