When the Photographer Becomes the Photographed

Aren’t rompers just the funnest thing? There’s only so many new outfits I can make, so coercing my sister into pictures? I think that’s something that needs to happen much more often, don’t you?

Darling, Dearest Darling, Dearest Darling, Dearest Darling, Dearest Darling, Dearest

She’s cute, isn’t she? Mel’s style is a bit different from mine. While I tend to shy away from patterns and prints, she gravitates toward them. Her style is definitely comfortable too, but has a bohoish vibe to it.

These pictures were taken on one of the many days we explored the French Quarter in New Orleans. One of the things I miss the most about that town is the ability to get drinks to go. This pina colada accompanied us as we browsed through stores, the perfect treat to balance out that heat. I definitely think the whole drinks to go thing lends itself perfectly to the feel of the city. It’s certainly a constant party!

I wish I could link this hat because it’s just too stinkin’ adorable! She purchased it from one of the vendors in the French Market – which, y’all, that’s a great place to shop for hats! There’s a few super similar ones linked below. This one also has a darling bow, just in burlap instead of black!

The romper is Band of Gypsies, a company that is exactly Melissa’s style. She found it at T. J. Maxx, but Nordstrom and most department stores also carry the. Shop similar styles to hers here:
