Football season is right around the corner [or maybe halfway through the door] and with that comes a wardrobe that is almost entirely black and gold. For the last 7 years of my life, every Saturday in the months of September through November was devoted to wearing these colors. Because when App State plays football, we watch. [Minus my senior year in college, when I was a bookworm determined to make straight A’s and lived in the library on the weekend.] And when App State plays football, you wear black and gold. As Daddy always said, “You can never go wrong with black and gold.”
Before I mention anything else- can I just say these shoes can’t be beat? They’ve been a favorite in my closet for a couple of years, and I never tire of wearing them. They are my third pair of Nine West shoes, so I’ve decided thats a brand to stick with. They have just the right amount of heal where I can wear them to school on my feet all day and be perfectly fine. I’m not a girl with a whole lot of spunk, but when I want a little dose of it, I call on these. I’ve linked two pairs below that very similar, both from Nine West!
These pants are also a go-to many months of the year. Every lady App fan needs a pair of gold pants. Every App fan period needs a pair of gold pants. These are from the Gap Outlet, and Gap has never let me down for quality in any clothing department. I’ve linked a similar style of Gap pants below, and a few other gold finds:). This shirt you can find here, and I love that the straps are wide enough and the cut is high enough to wear it at school! [It’s also in a floral pattern here that is quite beautiful too!]
This necklace is from Boone Belles [again, I know!] and you can find it here, but it’s sadly sold out right now! This one is very similar and comes in a wider variety. These sunnies are from Forever 21, and have a slight cateye to them. I’m trying to branch out a little, one small look at a time;).
So here’s to busy weekends for the next few months. And here’s to the crazy awesome tailgates complete with food and drinks that only a mother-in-law like mine can make. And here’s to small town Friday nights where the town comes out for the high school game. And here’s to the insane cold that will undoubtedly come, and the real fans that bare through the weather [meaning my husband; I’m not into that mess]. And here’s to the great friends that I get to spend time with once again.
Football season, I’m ready for you.
