How to Bring Out the Comfort of Fall

It is no secret whatsoever that I’m all about comfort. I will not wear something if I’m not comfortable in it. I think that’s one of the reasons I love fall and winter so much – the weather just lends itself to the coziest clothes. I want to do all that I can to soak up every bit of comfort, and that starts with being comfortable in my own skin.

Colder weather can be harsh. I may love it, but my skin doesn’t necessarily agree with me. Dry lips and face? Scratchy arms and legs? That type of dry skin can ruin the softness of that favorite sweater of yours. There is no better feeling on a chilly day than rubbing smooth skin against soft fabric. And in order to do that, to appreciate all your warm winter clothing? You’ve first got to take care of your skin.

Luckily, taking care of your skin can be so very simple to do! Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer with Calming Green Tea Oil not only smells amazing, it also actually works. It absorbs instantly into your skin and it lasts. Essential Oils in the product work with the water to lock in the moisture – the benefit of applying when your skin is actually wet!

Because it’s working with water, a little goes a long way. You only need a dime-sized amount for each arm, and a quarter-sized amount per leg.

Quite possibly my favorite aspect of using a Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer is the ease of it. Those few minutes of putting lotion on after a shower, when you’re shivering and trying to hurry through the process and you realize you didn’t dry off a given spot and it messes up the whole blending of the moisturizer? Or when you try to put those cozy leggings on and they stick to your legs and fit incredibly awkward? That’s the worst part of moisturizing. I leave my Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer in my shower and use it after turning off the water but before getting out. I dry off normally and it’s as if I’m able to skip that awkward lotion phase altogether!

Way-too-big cardigans, super soft sweaters, bundling blanket scarves – all these things make you feel comfortable. Leggings? These are comfort in clothing form. Boot socks, blankets – the colder the weather, the more you get to surround yourself with the coziest of things. I even keep the house a bit cooler in the winter (Bonus! It helps out with that AC bill;)) so that I can bundle up inside. Little lifestyle changes like this, coupled with burning fall-scented candles, cuddling with fuzzy blankets – you’re making comfort a fixture in your life.

Since I typically take showers in the evening, I’m partial to the Calming Green Tea Oil as it’s exactly what I need to soothe myself into the evening. Another sent I love? Cherry Almond Essence. I’m a sucker for the almond scent and this has that perfect balance! It’s a new scent available exclusively at Walmart, found with your other moisturizers.
