“Summer days drifting away to oh the summer nights.”
Where I live, night time in the summer can actually get pretty chilly. Hot for us is in the upper 80s, and that can feel like a heat wave. Dressing for the nighttime can often require a completely different outfit, or a whole lot of layers. It’s like walking on the beach at night, when the wind seems to be blowing just enough to need a jacket or sweatshirt.
This such a simple outfit, but it’s so great for that type of weather. The jeans are easy to roll up for beach walking, and the top is lightweight enough to let a breeze hit you, but cozy enough to keep you warm. They don’t carry the longsleeve version online anymore, but the short sleeve version is just as comfortable!
Nighttime in the mountains during the summer is my absolute favorite. With the new addition of a firepit in our yard, I’m hoping to get to enjoy a few more of these nights outside… that just means we have to settle down and stop traveling. We keep thinking summer will lighten up, but then we realize we’re adults and adult life doesn’t slow down. 😏
What’s your favorite thing to do on summer nights?
