This outfit is more comfortable than jeans and a t-shirt. Anytime I wear an oversized cardigan, it just makes me want to cuddle up for a while. And run immediately to Goodwill to find more.
I’ve started to wear my husbands sweaters as dresses and such. That’s the purpose of husbands, right? Purchasing oversized cardigans and sweaters most certainly works, but there’s just something about wearing my father’s or my husband’s as a fashion statement that I enjoy. Pairing this cardigan with a summer dress easily makes it able to be worn year- round!
One of my favorite aspects about this outfit are the necklaces I’m wearing. They are both vintage-looking clocks, one purchased on Jane and the other at a local antique store. It isn’t easy to tell from the pictures, but the round clock has two wings attached to it… any guesses on what it is? [Hint: It’s my way of showcasing my nerdier, bibliophile side while still being style-appropriate:).] [[Y’ALL! I was able to find this exact necklace on Amazon. For cheaper than I the one I bought. It’s a great gift for the muggle in your life:)]]
As evidenced here and here, my favorite type of holiday wear is simple cozy sweaters. Pairing a dress with leggings and a comfy cardigan helps to spruce up a look while keeping it casual and low-key. Add in some cute holiday earrings or a festive brooch and you’d be ready for that big Christmas dinner!
