One. Getting stuff done. I finally went back to school on Monday to set up my classroom. It feels really, really good to have that mostly finished. I’m a bit more ready for the crazy busy week we’ll be having next week with teacher workdays and meetings and paperwork to tackle each day.
Two. Ray LaMontagne! A friend and I booked tickets for this show back at the beginning of the year! It was so great to have it finally arrive. Unfortunately, he didn’t really play any of the songs I love and know by heart… but he still played some good stuff. Definitely an easy listenin’ concert, and for sure fun. And rainy. Fun and rainy.
Three. Pretty Weather. Boone was a little bit hot this summer, like so much of the country. Luckily, its making its way back to those gorgeous 70 degree days and cool nights that I love. That definitely is an indicator that fall is on the way. You can’t beat the mountains when the days are like that.
Four. Beautiful Friends. My beloved girl group decided to take a winery trip, working their way up to Boone and staying here for the night. 9 girls, 3 wineries, delicious restaurants, and lots of laughs. What’s not to love? We piled all of us in our little house, pulled out some air mattresses and made it work. You can’t beat times like that.:)
Five. The husband has been on here 3 weeks in a row now. Look at him go:). He let 8 girls spend the night, he worked to clean our house, and he’s continuing to work to get it as worry free as it can be when school starts back. He’s also worked his little tail off this summer at his second job as a real estate appraiser. #Proudwifemoment.
How was your week, friends?
