Half the fun of a holiday outfit is feeling festive. It gives full permission to be over the top and cheesy. Now, I wouldn’t categorize this outfit as such, but I do feel festive in it and it is fun to wear!
I honestly wish I had an occasion to wear this outfit. It’s a bit dressy for school, and our holiday parties consist of staying after and filling our bellies. My holiday attire in regards to work clothes will most certainly include the classic elementary teacher tacky sweaters. I’m a huge supporter of those [and really need to add more to my wardrobe]!
I didn’t realize how many black skirts I owned until I had to go through my closet [had to being the imperative words as our closet broke – we took it as God’s sign to clean out]. While I’m loaded up with basic black skirts, I think I can allow myself to add a few more black and white pieces to my collection! This color combination is oh-so-classic. Throw in a pink shirt and you are ready for Valentines Day; add a black top and you are game for New Year’s… I could swing it so many ways. I simply feel chic wearing it. I love this grid patterned skirt so very much, I’m strongly considering making it the first new addition to the collection!
Tights make any outfit dressier, and a scarf adds that little wintery touch! Such an easy outfit to throw together is perfect for holiday parties, dates, get-togethers, or, in my case, whenever I feel like feeling pretty:).
