Holiday Ready Outfit

Y’all. I LOVEEE this outfit! It’s one of those that I’m wracking my brain for every excuse to wear. I need more holiday parties in my life:)

So this is the exact same pair of boots I bought in black. I loved them so much that Black Friday convinced me to get another pair:) Sad thing is they were less than half the price I originally paid, but that was definitely enough to warrant getting the gray too. I’m a big fan of dresses and skirts with these over-the-knee boots, and just that little sliver of leg showing. For some reason, it always makes me feel a bit Gossip Girly. Maybe that’s just me:)

To kick the holiday factor up a notch, I switched it out for heeled booties and burgundy tights. It would be even more fun to through on a sequined sweater or something festive of that sort!

Tucking the sweater in the front (though, don’t mind my bad tucking job – it isn’t easy to adjust an outfit for photos after changing in inopportune places!) seemed to help give the skirt more of a waist. In order for it to fit comfortably on my hips, I had to get a size that was a touch loose in the waist. While I typically tuck my shirts in completely with skirts like this, wearing the sweater loosely tucked in the front made me feel more confident in the silhouette it made.

And if you haven’t been to Old Navy recently, you need to change that. The shirt I’m wearing might very well be the most comfortable, softest shirt I’ve ever owned. I don’t know how to put into words how soft it is. It’s like a plush blanket without the fur. I bought it in multiple colors and intend to use super cash to buy more. It’s completely worth it.

Happy Wednesday!
