There are 101 things that are bound to cross your mind when preparing for a new baby to come around. How will I feed them? What if they don’t eat enough? How will I protect them from germs? What do I need at the hospital? What should I include in my birth plan? Will my birth plan go anything close to according to plan? What do I need to do to get my home ready for them? And most importantly, will I be a good mother?
Now, that last one… ain’t no telling how many times that thought will cross your mind. But the second to last one? That, we can work through! Because there are easy-to-do, manageable tasks that you can implement now to help get the little things ready so that when your bundle of joy comes, there’s one less thing for you to worry about. Thanks to things like all® free clear detergent, you get to Live More, Worry Less!
One. Safety Locks. Now, these might not be needed until the little one is a bit older, but what better way to remove one worry by knocking them out already! You can get ones for doors, but drawer safety locks are great too. I have this reoccurring fear in my mind of my little one pulling a draw open to try and stand up, only to have it topple on her. Along this line, safety plugs are great to go ahead and get, too!
Two. Put important phone numbers in an easy-to-find place. Heaven forbid something might happen, you want anyone to be able to call whomever they need at a moments notice. Having this already pinned on your fridge (or a similarly convenient place) makes you ready for those moments. This should include numbers like a nurses hotline, pediatrician, local family or friends, and both you and your partner.
Three. Keep the house as tidy as you can. After you bring them home, you’re bound to have a few visitors. And quite frankly, a clean house will just not be a priority. By keeping it as clean as you can prior to “D-Day” (delivery day), you’ll be ready for that moment whenever it comes. We’re trying to regularly vacuum and dust, keep the laundry level low, and straighten as we go. Things like making the bed help to make the house feel a whole lot neater than it is!
Four. Speaking of laundry, one of the easiest things you can prepare with is all® free clear detergent and Mighty Pacs®. It’s 100% perfume-free, dye-free, and hypoallergenic, making it perfect for all the baby clothes you’re about to be washing. It’s the #1 recommended detergent by dermatologists, allergists, and pediatricians. Because we plan on getting alllll the snuggles in with our little girl, we are washing everything with all® free clear! Bonus for me – it also removes 99% of allergens. That’s something I sincerely hope little girl doesn’t inherit from me!
Five. Stock up the freezer. Now, chances are you’ll have a few friends or family members bring you food close after birth (if you live in a small town like me, that is). But there will be so many nights where getting a good meal on the table sounds like the most daunting task and you just can’t handle takeout one more time. Having easy freezer meals ready to go, or even ready to cook meats, will go so far in making you live more and worry less. We’ve already implemented this during the pregnancy and it’s been a huge help!
These are all simple things you can do now, or at any point in a pregnancy, to take just a few worries off your mind for when that sweet little one comes. Despite how busy or chaotic life might be, you’ll still want to spend as much time as you can loving up on them. Making changes like incorporating all® free clear detergent into your lineup brings you the comfort that your baby’s sweet little skin isn’t being hurt by harsh chemicals, on your clothes or their own!
You can find a variety of all® free clear products at your local Target on the aisle with all other laundry products. You can also follow along on their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Youtube here!
