Darker colors are my fall uniform- but when its game day, the gold and yellow accents are quick to appear! Boone is typically a rainy location [not quite Seattle status, but enough to make rainboots a necessity]. When I saw this yellow pair in Old Navy a few years ago, I couldn’t pass them up [especially since they remind me of Curious George’s owner… #teacherstatus].
Truth: this outfit would have been better with an actual AppState or Black and Yellow umbrella. Alas, I worked with what I have.
The team we were playing this day [Wyoming] also happened to have gold as one of their school colors, and these rainboots were definitely a hit on both sides of the ball. As they are a few years old, they definitely aren’t sold there anymore. There are a few great options linked below!
Second favorite aspect of the outfit: the blanket scarf. This one is larger than most I have seen, but it is unbelievably soft! It was also less than $15 at T.J. Maxx. They had SO MANY ponchos, scarves, and capes to choose from. I bought two [based on my personal spending price limit:)] but I could have easily bought the whole rack. Every time I walk into that story, I want to buy everything. I think I could even go grocery shopping in there.
In terms of the tee, my go-to place for all basic shirts perfect for layering is Old Navy. I don’t think I have ever spent more than $10 on a basic tee from there, and yet I wear them close to every other day. I typically buy them a size up to increase the longevity of wearability 🙂
