I have had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people and companies through blogging, and the one I get to share with you today might just be my favorite yet. Why? Because the Lord is great.
ScribblePretty is an Etsy shop run by Steph Martin. Steph is a woman after the Lord’s own heart. Her artwork is intended to draw others nearer to one another and to our God. How awesome is that??
ScribblePretty makes custom and hand-lettered journals and prints. Steph definitely has a gift in lettering. She can make letters and words into something absolutely stunning. She offers a selection of beautiful ones in her shop, but you can also request your own quotes and verses too!
Journaling is already something I’m so passionate about. It has been my saving grace at many points in my faith, and brings me so much joy and solace. When deciding what verse to get on my own journal, I wanted to choose one that reflected my desire for journaling and the role that it can play. Exodus 14:14 is the epitome of that.
By being still, by giving my worries and thoughts and debates and questions and needs and desires and glories to the Lord, my life is safe. My fight is fought. My fight is won.
In choosing a print, I wanted something that would remind me. Something that I would see and it would kick my heart into motion. That would be alluring to me, that encourages nearness to the Lord. Song of Solomon is one of my favorite books as I believe it gives us access to the romantic side of God. This verse, 2:10, there’s just something about the word arise that ignites in you a desire to come forth. To wake up from whatever slumber you are in.
And that the Lord calls you my darling, my beautiful one. Because that’s what you are. You are his darling, you are so incredibly beautiful to him. My beautiful one. My one. You are his. And he wants you beside him, he wants you to come with him. How inviting. How pursuing.
I picked verses that speak to me, that I need to be reminded of. These journals and prints can be kept for yourself, but they would also make spectacular gifts! There are always verses and sayings that coincide with particular parts of our life, and with graduation in our midst, these would be an excellent gift option! They also make great bridesmaid gifts, or would be perfect in that newborn nursery (because, if you’re anything like me, you’re surrounded by engagements and pregnancies:)!)
ScribblePretty’s journals are excellent quality Moleskin journals, and it’s the perfect size to carry around. Steph prays over each and everyone as she makes it. That gives me chills.
Y’all, ScribblePretty just keeps getting better. Steph has offered a discount to you guys this week! Use the code “darling20” to get 20% off, making her journals just $12 and her prints only $8! And if you want a little inspiration for your day, check out her Instagram. She speaks with such wisdom. I spent a solid bit of time one afternoon just reading the captions to her pictures. I felt poured into by it.
So do you see what I mean? Blogging has blessed me. I get to meet people like Steph. I get to see others love the Lord, and I get the pleasure of sharing something they create to honor him. What a joy that is.
Thank you, ScribblePretty, for providing the journal and print that made this post possible!:)
