Stripes and Scarves

Yes, last year I succumbed to the desire to buy the most popular pattern of blanket scarf. Worth it? You bet.

It took me longer than most to warm up to blanket scarves. Because of their thickness [which truly is one of their best features], they tend to add a layer of volume to my hair where they rested on the back of my neck. When the Funky Monkey Fashion Accessories sold them through Jane for a price cheaper than I had seen, I decided to give them a whirl. Once I learned to welcome the volume [and recognize that my hair really only looked bigger to my eyes] they became a common feature on my outfits. And y’all. I’ve found this same scarf for less than $11! [Update: When this post was published, the price was $7.60. It has, sadly, since increased.] Blanket scarves are never that cheap. I’m literally trying to make a list of who I might be a be able to give it to for Christmas just because that price is so great. [So, sister, if you read this, you interested:)?] [I also might’ve found this navy and green one when searching for the scarf I’m wearing and might’ve already purchased it:)!]

I’ve made it my personal goal to find as many shirts as possible that I can match this scarf to this year. [Anyone have any ideas?] It’s got just a hint of light blue it it, so this shirt was a go! I can’t say enough about these basic striped shirts. I honestly have worn them in a solid third of my outfits so far on this blog- they just go with everything!! There isn’t a doubt in my mind that I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

These boots will also be making frequent appearances. They are the only over-the-knee boots I have [something I’m desperately hoping to change] and I love them all the more for it. They are a richer color than I see most often, but I feel like this color just goes with so much! I bought them last year at Belk. You can find two very similar ones below!

What wardrobe items are you most looking forward to bring back out this fall?
