The Best Shirt to Have on Standby

Shirts like this are just really, really handy to have in a closet. Romwe Blue Striped Shirt Romwe Blue Striped Shirt Romwe Blue Striped Shirt Romwe Blue Striped Shirt Romwe Blue Striped Shirt Romwe Blue Striped Shirt Romwe Blue Striped Shirt

I haven’t always been a fan of button-ups. However, that’s been pretty easy to change by finding ones don’t crowd my neck or make me feel like I need to throw on a tie. This one might quickly be rising as my favorite due to the perfect length and slimmer shape. It’s new, but I’m excitedly anticipating just how often I’ll be able to grab it when I can’t decide what to wear. It’d be perfect with jeans, white pants, tucked into a skirt…. really endless possibilities here. Expect to see it again:).

And because Boone decided not to get the memo that it’s spring now (as it’s snowing in the background here), I relied on my old standby of leggings, a scarf, and boots. Easiest outfit ever, and perfect for those days when I’m not having to look like a teacher. A lacy scarf makes a great transition piece as it’s delicate and feminine yet still warm and cozy. Each of these items are just so, so versatile.

What’s your favorite standby shirt?

  • That is a great shirt–it’s the perfect mix of casual and put-together, which I love. I love how you layered it here, and it will be great when it decides to warm up too 🙂 My chambray button-up shirt is my go-to.

  • Shame about the snow, but at least you looked cosy and stylish while you layered up! 🙂

I started buying more button up shirts a couple years ago when I needed them for nursing – I don’t hate them as much as I did but I think having fabrics that require little to no ironing makes a huge difference there, haha!

I agree your classic striped shirt is great. I am loving that cognac cross-body mini bag. I just bought a cognac clutch from Old Navy.

    Happy Spring Emily!
