Transitional Accessories

It’s almost getting to be that time of the year where the nights are just a bit too chilly for shorts and a tee. And when August comes around, I really start to crave the entire season of fall. As stores are starting to incorporate a fall selection, it’s a great time to stock up on some transitional pieces that work year round.

I’m sure it’s very apparent throughout the course of this blog, but my favorite transitional item is most definitely a scarf. I love bringing out the lightweight kind this time of the year, especially in floral patterns and jewel tones. So many stores have them on sale right now, and I’ve linked my favorites below! I believe all are under $25, too! This one is remarkably similar to the one I’m wearing, which happens to be a gift from a friend from Italy:)!

A second favorite transitional item? Hats. I’m starting to love them more and more, especially this fedora-mixed-with-cowgirl style (because I have no idea what the actual name of this style is). I typically love to pair them with dresses, but I think they have some real potential with vests and sweaters and the like.

I’m starting to mix sweaters with shorts, which I absolutely love the look of as fall (almost) begins. I’m kind of ready for flannels to be a staple, too. Lighter scarves like this help get me geared up for fall while still being comfortable in the heat.

I’d love to hear what your favorite transitional items are!
