Valentine’s Day Work Attire

This year, you may not need office attire for Valentine’s Day, being that it’s on a Sunday. Orrrr you could be like me and plan on wearing pink the entire week of the holiday. Or you might just want a new work-appropriate dress. Maybe something of quality that will last? Something that you can wear for multiple months out of the year, that’s neutral enough to add some holiday flare?

That was precisely my checklist when I selected this eShakti dress.

Darling, Dearest

When eShakti reached out for a collaboration, I greatly struggled with picking an item to review! I really fell for this dress, but I was consumed by the potential of this one. I could imagine it in the summer with a cute pair of flats, and I could already wear it in the winter with tights and a sweater. I could wear it to work or on a date. The versatility of it won me over. And the pockets. Because, pockets.

What made the dress even better? The personalization. eShakti is a company that specializes in custom-made articles. Each item can be adjusted in regards to actual measurements as well as personal preferences. This exact dress could be made with 8 different necklines, 6 different sleeve types, and 7 different lengths, all with the click of a button. Like.. what? How great is that?! It also comes in a kelly green.

This is the first item I’ve ever had custom-made and to be honest, I was slightly generous in my measurements, especially around my waist. I wasn’t particularly sure how tight to hold the tape measure, and when in-between inches, I would always size up. If custom-ordering a dress from eShakti, be sure to be true to your size! When I first tried the dress on, it felt slightly spacious around my midsection. The longer I wore it, the more comfortable it felt. Now looking at pictures, I certainly can’t tell!

This dress was also in the running for my selection, as was this chambray dress and this lovely skirt. Truth be told, a lot of these dresses would also make affordable bridesmaid dresses, like this one. They’ve got a wedding-specific line as well. Like what you see, or want to know more? Now, if I were to switch it up for a date night dress, I’d throw on some black tights and maybe a pair of red high-heels [or red Dorothy-esque flats because I, sadly, don’t own red heels] and be ready for a night out!

Thank you, eShakti, for gifting me this dress! All opinions are my own.
