Well, that title sums up life right now. You’d think I wouldn’t be bitter about it – I’ve lived in Boone for a total of 6 years. I know what winter is like here. Maybe it’s because last spring and summer were so jam-packed (with a wedding and all) that the idea of actually relaxing and enjoying those seasons makes them all the more enticing.
Ada, of Elegance and Mommyhood, and I are continuing our exploration of blanket scarves styles for this time of year, both sharing gray and white scarves today. An easy way to make it appropriate for spring? Make it nautical.
This is one of my favorite looks I’ve seen yet on Ada! Here I am complaining about the weather while at a park and she’s surrounded by snow! Make sure you stop by and check out her look, too:).
I’m a big fan of nautical looks (I have an anchor tattoo – I’d have to like it with that on my body for forever). This sweater was part of a collection at Old Navy a couple of years back and I so wish they would have something similar again! It’s thick enough to keep me warm but still makes me want to head to the beach. Any kind of navy, red, or gray stripes also lend to a nautical vibe, making this scarf perfect for pairing (it’s from T.J. Maxx, but I’ve linked an extremely similar one below).
I also love the idea of floral sweaters or dresses with a blanket scarf for the spring. Basically, any spring-themed top instantly makes the outfit appropriate. Sweaters just help with that mid-April snow we seem to always get:). I’m on the lookout for more like this, so if you know of any – please share!
Today, I have the pleasure of kicking of Ada’s new weekly link-up, Thursday Moda, as her first co-host! Be sure to follower her on Bloglovin’ and link back to Elegance and Mommyhood!
