If there was a job in cozy-dress-finding, I would be a professional. And I would love it. I know they appear all too frequently on this little blog of mine, but they really are my favorite thing to wear. I was truly having friends feel how soft this dress was when I wore it, in the most unawkward way that I could. And while our weather took an unfortunate turn to the chilly side, making me have to pull the fleece leggings back out, I love the look of the dress with sandals and bare legs as well. Anddddd it’s only $13. Win!
I spent quite a bit of time deciding that I wasn’t going to join the Rocksbox bandwagon. $19 a month just sounded like too much for a jewelry subscription service when you didn’t get to keep the jewelry in the first place. That is, until I tried it. And love it.
I’m not sure exactly by how much, but I’d definitely say that I add to my jewelry collection monthly, whether I realize it or not. It might just be a pair of $10 earrings, but it’s constantly growing. And typically, it’s necklaces that tarnish on the back of the neck after too few wears or earrings that begin to fade after a bit of daily use. I enjoy having lots of options for what to wear.
I underestimated the benefit of having a few high quality pieces that you love to wear. With Rocksbox, you suggest the style of jewelry you tend to prefer or would like to try (for example, I’m all about gold, and I want to explore different types statement earrings) and they send you three items that fit your preferences. You can even create a wishlist of items you’d like to try. You receive your box (quickly!), and wear the pieces for as long as you’d like. Love something so much you want to keep it? Then keep it, discounted from the regular price! Ready to try more? Send the other two (or all three) back in a super easy, prepaid package, and your stylist will send you three more. You could have a constant rotation of new, high quality jewelry to explore.
When I opened my box, I couldn’t picture right away how I planned on styling the options. They were slightly new styles for me. A week later, I’ve worn something from the box every single day. I definitely didn’t expect to want to keep anything out of it, but this little dainty necklace is quickly becoming a daily staple.
I can’t afford to buy nice jewelry all the time… but this idea of constantly having new quality jewelry to explore and style? I think that’s worth $19.
Want to give it a try without investing anything? Get started by taking the style survey on the Rocksbox homepage. Use the code “darlingdearestblogxoxo” to get 1 month completely free. Try out a box or two and see if it’s for you. You can cancel at anytime, or you can fall in love with it like me!
Have you experimented with Rocksbox? What’s been your favorite styles to receive, or what makes you hesitant to give it a try?
