Fall, How Do I Love Thee?

Oh Fall,

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.Darling, Dearest

But really, are you sick of hearing how much fall is loved yet? No? Good. Cause I’m legit about to count here. (And consider yourself warned, this list is overflowing with cliches.)

Darling, Dearest

One. The clothes. What kind of style blogger would I be if I didn’t mention clothes? Fall is the season where you don’t feel the pressure to constantly be assessing your food belly, where accessories are the main attraction, and when everything you wear has the cozy and soft factor. I see absolutely no weaknesses here.

Two. The smells. Ohhhh the smells. I’m a candle-aholic (thanks to three years spent working at a Bath and Body Works), and there are few things that relax me more than the delicious smell of cinnamon, apples, or pumpkin in the air. Also, this is a great way to make your house feel homey for visitors. If we’re at the house- you can bet there’s a candle burning.

Three. The foods. Yes, I am a sucker for pumpkin anything and everything. I’m also a sucker for pies, and turkey, and comfort food, and cider, and hot chocolate, and I just love it all. My pant buttons don’t love the food, but I sure do;).

Four. The leaves. Gahhhh, the leaves. And the stars. Nature? That’s all encompassing, right? It’s all beautiful this time of year. The weather, the scenery – I don’t think any other season can really compare. On a slightly chilly, clear day in the mountains, there is absolutely nothing better to do than go on a hike.

Five. The get-togethers.Football and tailgating, Thanksgiving… all sources of group get-togethers and entertainments, family meals included. We just get to be around the ones we love more this time of year. Who doesn’t love that?

Those might be the most basic of reasons, but they truly are the things that make fall what it is, a favorite of so many people.

This dress is like type-A for fall style. You could literally pair it with just about any fall staples – fur vests, blanket scarves, over-the-knee boots, booties, even leather moto jackets. It’s my first cowl neck piece, but I definitely don’t think it’ll be my last! And it’s $10. There’s that, too:).
