One. The return of Mountaineer football. Even though my participation in experiencing the game was limited by tiredness and an upset stomach, I’m still thrilled to see it return. To hear “APP……STATE” chanted across a restaurant, even to correct an announcer on the pronunciation. So ready for this football season. Not so ready for the anxiety that comes with it, which I totally felt last night.
Two. Working with students, finally! I’ve mentioned before that my school year beginning gets delayed by parent conferences. I’m getting to start meeting with my kids now, and I absolutely love being reunited with them.
Three. Morning drives. Y’all, the sunrises in this neck of the woods? They are quite literally unbelievable. I’m going to let them do the talking. This is really what I see on a daily basis.
Four. Long walks with friends. What better way to finish a Monday than spending it walking in a beautiful town with a beautiful friend?
Five. In honor of App’s valiant effort (and because I want it all right now), here’s quite an epic collection of Mountaineer paraphenalia. The dog jacket and that phone case are probably my favorites, but there are some pretty cute shirts here too!
I hope this post successfully convinced you that I live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. And that I love football. Both are very true:).
