October’s Best & November Goals

On more than one occasion, Brett has questioned the amount of time and work put into blogging. In truth, it is questionable. And yet, despite his hesitation, he continues to support the hours I put into it. Why? Because it makes me happy, and he gets to see my pride in the little accomplishments along the way.

My favorites from October:

Rainy Game Days Call for Cute Outfits – When it’s raining for weeks, you find a way to take pictures and have fun with it while you do!

Just Stop. – This is me calling myself out on neglecting my time with the Lord, because maybe someone else needs to hear that too.

Fringe Poncho – I’m just in love with this poncho. And I think my sister is a great photographer.

Wedding Wednesday: How to Pick the Perfect Wedding Dress – A year ago, I was hunting for my very own perfect dress. Thanks to that experience and the experience of those around me, these are my tips and tricks to make it the best!

If Rain is a Gift from the Lord – Seeing rain is a positive light isn’t always easy. With the help of some scripture, I did my best to see it in an uplifting way.

November Goals:

One. Time Management. All too often I’m up at 11 at night working on a post for the next day. I know this is not how it’s supposed to be. I have a calendar, I plan out posts. And still, I procrastinate and delay and write them the night before. There’s bound to be a way to be more efficient with my time, balancing school and blogging and life all at once.

Two. Craft. I love crafting, but sadly I can’t remember the last time I did! If anything will amp me up for crafts, it’s Thanksgiving and Christmas. Maybe by making this guarantee now, I’ll be more determined to liven our new home up for the holidays.

Three. Grow. Growing a blog is difficult. So, so difficult. Little successes have come to mean the world. Setting personal goals to reach in terms of Instagram followers, monthly page views, daily visits, etc. really helps to increase my motivation and resolve.

Four. Develop Facebook [and Twitter]. I dedicate so much time to Instagram, that I really slack on developing the other two. Facebook sends most of my traffic, but I really think it’s primarily family and friends [love y’all!]. I want to make it look more professional, but don’t really know the steps to go through to do that. Twitter is great for interaction, I’m just very new to it! [Any tips and pointers appreciated.]

Five. Spend a little more time with Jesus. This is a goal for every month, every day, year after year. Having this blog as a means of expression truly helps. Just being able to verbalize and share my thoughts, to intentionally meditate on his word. Step by step, I know he’s being more intricately woven into my life. That’s always an uphill battle, but he will fight for me, I need only to be still.
